Pantaloon’s game(s) for November are: White Lavender, Luckitown and Bamboo EP
Don't bother putting your socks on, because we're only going to blow them off with one of our biggest partnerships to date.
This November marks NINE YEARS since our chums at Sokpop Collective first set up shop and started making their weird little games.
In that time, they have made over 100 of the blimmin' things, with Stacklands - perhaps their most well known - having sold more than 1 million units. In fact, the game has just been treated to a major DLC drop, with Stacklands 2000 bringing the village-builder into the modern era via management of infrastructure, factories, and other city-like systems.
Today, as Pantaloon dons a very fetching little party hat, we look to contribute to Sokpop's birthday celebrations by dishing out one of three of their most interesting games at random.
At the end of the month, you will either get a Steam key for White Lavender, Luckitown or Bamboo EP (Primo subscribers will get all three).
Which will you get? Only Lady Luck knows.
White Lavender
Ok, so you're a bug, right? And you fight other bugs with swords and magic, collect very powerful items such as pencils and teaspoons, and generally up your fashion game on a journey to brew a very special tea. White Lavender is a challenging adventure game with RPG-elements, and features very trendy bugs.
Luckitown
Luckitown is somewhat more sophisticated, I guess; a hybrid of turn-based tower defense and luck-based dice rolls. Roll said dice to build and cast spells; you'll need to pull off certain combinations to build particular structures. A house, pour exemplé, requires wood and life. Trouble is, your budding town will soon find itself the target of monsters, and you'll need to protect it...
Bamboo EP
Bamboo EP is an integrated collection of three games: Bamboo Ball, Bamboo Heart, and Bamboo Moon.
⚪ Bamboo Ball ⚪
Digital dodge-ball for 1 to 2 players! Four different seasons to play in! Also includes dabbing snowmen!
🗡Bamboo Heart🗡
A fast-paced slice 'em up about a swordfighter looking for his heart. Includes a series of bosses, unlockable skills and 6 unlockable characters.
🌕 Bamboo Moon 🌕
An interactive title-screen with a bunch of secrets! (best played with a gamepad!)
Happs burfs, Sokpop🎉
For those not familiar, Sokpop are interesting for several reasons. Firstly, they're odd. And their games are odd. And Pantaloon likes odd.
But more importantly, Sokpop are the Kings of Output. Famously initially offering a game a month, Sokpop challenged - and still challenges - conventional indie publishing convention with their d2c Patreon model, and sheer cadence of output.
Having hit their original 100 game quota, the studio are now embarking on another 100, with the latest original release Grunn - releasing to critical acclaim last month.
So here's to another 9 years Sokpop, and another 100 games x
